By participating in Prime Time, individuals can stay in the home they love for longer, often delaying the need for long-term placement. And while their loved one is here, caregivers gain something just as valuable: real respite. Time to rest, recharge, and care for their own physical, social, mental, and emotional well-being, knowing their family member is safe, engaged, and cared for.

In 1985, a small group of compassionate people asked a life-changing question: What if daycare services could help adults who need assistance and supervision remain at home longer while giving their caregivers safe, affordable respite?
The answer became Prime Time Adult Care, a nonprofit licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging and built to serve older Pittsburghers who need care, as well as their caregivers. Forty years later, our mission remains the same.
We provide activities throughout the day to support emotional, social, mental, and physical well-being.
Every activity is planned not only for our clients' enjoyment but also with therapeutic benefits in mind. Activities include daily exercise, which helps stimulate circulation and maintain mobility and independence. Word scrambles stimulate our minds and often initiate conversation with others.
Is Prime Time Adult Care Right for You?
After a family makes a phone or email inquiry, we will schedule a time for you to visit the center and meet with the Director. During this visit, you will be given several forms to be completed by a physician. The forms and any questions you may have will be discussed, along with the entire admission process.
